About EduJA
Grades 7–13 · Learning for Jamaican students
EduJA is an online learning platform built specifically for Jamaican secondary school students — Grades 7 through 13 — with lessons and practice questions written to follow the Jamaican school curriculum (the National Standards Curriculum in Grades 7–9, CSEC in Grades 10–11 and CAPE-level work in Grades 12–13), not a generic international syllabus retrofitted for Jamaica. Jamaican teachers are reviewing the lessons, subject by subject.

A Jamaica where every secondary school student — regardless of parish, school resources, or family income — has access to learning support built around their curriculum, strong enough to help them succeed at CSEC and CAPE, and confident enough to carry that success into whatever comes next.
Our Mission
To give Grades 7–13 students across Jamaica structured lessons and practice built around the Jamaican school curriculum, with live teacher help available, on a platform built for how Jamaican classrooms actually teach — so that quality secondary-level academic support is something every family can reach, not a privilege reserved for those who can afford private tutoring.
Our Core Values
- Curriculum integrity. Every lesson and practice question is checked against the National Standards Curriculum (and CSEC/CAPE syllabuses at the upper grades) before it reaches a student — we don't retrofit generic content and call it Jamaican.
- Accessibility. Strong secondary education support shouldn't depend on where a student lives or what their family can afford; we price and build the platform with that in mind.
- Real people behind the content. AI helps our question bank grow faster, but every AI-drafted question is reviewed and, where needed, corrected by a qualified teacher before a student ever sees it — and students can reach an actual teacher, not just a chatbot, when they're stuck.
- Honesty with students and parents. Progress tracking and feedback are built to tell the truth about where a student stands, not to flatter anyone into staying subscribed.
- Continuous improvement. The curriculum changes, CSEC/CAPE syllabuses get revised, and so does EduJA — content is reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis rather than published once and left alone.
Who we are
EduJA is owned and operated by Ohana Jamaica Limited, a company registered in Jamaica in 2020 (registration #104023), based at 41 Barnett Street, Montego Bay, St James, Jamaica. We're a small, Jamaica-based team — this isn't a multinational ed-tech platform with a Jamaica page bolted on; the curriculum alignment, the subjects covered, and the people behind the teacher support are all rooted here.
What we offer
- Structured lessons across five core subjects — Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Spanish — for every grade from 7 to 13.
- Practice questions with real feedback, each with a written explanation, so a wrong answer teaches you something rather than just being marked wrong.
- Direct teacher support — messaging, and on eligible plans, voice or video calls and bookable sessions with a real subject teacher.
- AI-assisted question drafting for teachers, used only to help the practice-question bank grow faster — every AI-drafted question is reviewed, and edited if needed, by a qualified teacher before a student ever sees it.
- Progress tracking for students, and an optional weekly summary email for parents or guardians who want one.
Our approach
We built EduJA around a simple idea: Jamaican students studying for the Ministry of Education curriculum — and eventually CSEC — deserve a platform designed around that curriculum from the ground up, not adapted from somewhere else. Every lesson and every practice question is written with that curriculum, and Jamaican classrooms, specifically in mind.
